Privacy policy

Crazy Eyes collects only the information we need to run our store, ship your orders and answer your messages. We never sell your personal information.

What we collect and why

We collect information when you buy from us, email us, sign up for our emails, or visit our website. For each use, the law requires us to have a reason, so we list it too.

Order information

Your name, email, shipping address, billing address, phone number (if you give it) and what you ordered. We use it to process, ship and track your order, and to send you order and shipping emails. Reason: we need it to fulfil our contract with you.

Payment information

Payments are handled by our payment providers, such as Shopify Payments and PayPal. We never see or store your full card number. We only see details like the last four digits and whether the payment went through. Reason: we need it to fulfil our contract with you.

Messages and claims

Your emails to us, and any photos you send with a damage or missing-item claim. We use them to answer you, handle your claim, and respond to payment disputes. Reason: our legitimate interest in giving support and protecting our business.

Device and browsing information

Your IP address, browser, device type, rough location (country or city) and the pages you visit on our store. We use it to keep the store working and safe, prevent fraud, and see which pages people use. Reason: our legitimate interest in running a safe, working store. For cookies that aren't needed to run the store, we ask for your consent first (see Cookies and tracking).

Email sign-ups

If you sign up for our emails, we use your email address to send you news, new designs and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. Reason: your consent.

Tax and accounting records

We keep records of orders and payments because tax and accounting laws require it. Reason: legal obligation.

We don't use your information to make automatic decisions that have a legal or similarly serious effect on you. Our payment providers may run automatic fraud checks on payments.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with companies that help us run the store, and only what they need to do their job.

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and stores order data.
  • Payment providers, such as Shopify Payments and PayPal, to take payments and check for fraud.
  • Suppliers and fulfillment partners, who pack your order. They get your name, shipping address, phone number and what you ordered.
  • Shipping carriers and postal services, to deliver your order and show tracking.
  • Our email provider, which handles our support emails and any marketing emails you signed up for.
  • Analytics tools, such as Shopify's own analytics, to see how people use our store.
  • Banks and payment providers in a dispute, if you open a chargeback. We share your order details, tracking and our messages with you.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with others for targeted advertising.

Sending data to other countries

We are based in the European Union, but some of the companies above are in other countries, including outside the EU. When we send your information outside the EU or the UK, we rely on one of these: the country is officially approved as safe for data, the company has signed the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the transfer is needed to deliver the order you asked for.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We use two kinds:

  • Needed cookies keep the store working, for example to remember your cart and keep checkout secure. These are always on.
  • Optional cookies help us understand how people use the store. We only use these if you agree in our cookie banner.

You can change your cookie choice at any time through the cookie settings link on our website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the store, like the cart, may stop working.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so our store doesn't change how it works when it receives one. You can still control cookies with our cookie banner and your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it.

  • Order and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Support emails and claim photos: up to 2 years after our last contact, or longer if a payment dispute is still open.
  • Email sign-up: until you unsubscribe.
  • Cookies: for the time set for each cookie, as shown in our cookie settings.

After that, we delete your information or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

Our store runs on Shopify, which uses secure, encrypted connections and meets the card industry's security standard (PCI DSS). Only the people and partners who need your information can access it. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • See the personal information we have about you, and get a copy.
  • Fix information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example, tax records).
  • Limit how we use your information.
  • Move your information to another company, in a common file format.
  • Object to how we use it, including for marketing.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, for example for emails or optional cookies. This doesn't affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email us at getcrazyeyes@outlook.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, usually by writing from the email you used to order. We reply within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Lithuania, where we are based, that is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija). In other EU countries, you can contact your local authority. In the UK, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, you have the rights that law gives you. We will not treat you differently for using any of your rights.

Children

Our store is meant for people aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you think a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If the change is big, we will also show a notice on our website.
